Hi Saqib,

Pointsec Media Encryption (PME),
(http://www.pointsec.com/products/removablemedia/) provides encryption
for removable media by policy such that all data added to the media
bound data is encrypted.

We've gotten feedback from customers who worry that a fully automatic
encryption would cause issues for devices (e.g. digital cameras and
media players), where the media should be readable, but if not modified
(e.g. written back) then it should stay clear text.

This sounds like an interesting new problem in the market.

I have a client who wants to auto-encrypt all external storage devices
as soon as they are plugged into the computer. Essentially they want the
external device to be bound to a single computer. But they also want the
ability to recover data from the external storage media if the computer
goes bad.

Any suggestions???
