The list of vendors providing similar solutions -- FDE combined with
Removable Storage Encryption -- is extensive. In the enterprise space,
analysts have counted more than 17 such vendors.
Most mid to large organizations consider Utimaco, Pointsec, Safeboot and
GuardianEdge formerly PC Guardian Technologies). Each firm has a stable
offering with substantial customer base, and each has points of
differentiation.
I work for GuardianEdge.

SafeGuard Removable Media from Utimaco Safeware is my recommendation
(and yes, I work for Utimaco).

Onderwerp: [FDE] Pointsec Mobile Encryption vs Data Protector
I would like to find what is the difference between Pointsec Mobile
Encryption and Pointsec Data Protector.
We are a small non-profit organization that needs to encrypt all files
copied from our accounting computers. We need a solution that requires
minimum IT overhead, preferably one that doesn't require a server. We
want a solution that will encrypt only the files copied from our
computers, and NOT the whole external USB drive.
Any suggestions? I was looking in Pointsec products but it seems that
Pointsec Mobile Encryption will encrypt the entire external storage
device. Which is what we want not.
