I realise that you did specify the package itself should be freeware.
However My question is "what are you using it for?".
I.e. If you are going to be rolling it out across many computers; if
you were SysAdmin of a company for example...then certainly there is
a budget to consider.
However if you are interested purly for your own benefit then I would
suggest you look into Securestars drivecryptPLUSPACK

I have used this and although slower than some other packages, there
are some neat features available. One such favourite is installation
of a 'shadow' operating system.
